Review and optimize structural design proposals to achieve the most cost-effective and practical solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
Lead value engineering initiatives throughout the design process, identifying opportunities to reduce construction costs without compromising functionality or required safety standards.
Evaluate structural systems from both technical and commercial perspectives, balancing construction cost, buildability, project schedule, and long-term maintenance considerations.
Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors to ensure structural solutions are fully integrated with the overall project design.
Review design consultants' submissions, ensuring that structural schemes are technically sound, economically efficient, and aligned with the project's commercial objectives.
Participate in design reviews, tender evaluations, and contractor technical assessments from a structural engineering perspective.
Provide technical support during procurement and construction, reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and proposed design changes to ensure continued cost and schedule optimization.
Identify design risks at an early stage and recommend practical engineering solutions that improve overall project value.
Monitor industry developments, construction methodologies, and innovative structural systems to continuously improve design efficiency and project competitiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Must be a licensed Civil Engineer and can sign & seal
With 3-5 years experience in construction or real estate developer
Familiar with AutoCad and MS Office
