Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Design Engineer for an onsite role located at Eastwood, Quezon City. You will complete telecom facility designs that meet site specifications and coordinate with CPS clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes reviewing facilities, producing sketches, and driving projects through all design phases with collaboration and adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess existing and new telecommunications facilities based on information and site visit photos.
• Complete detailed sketches of existing features and proposed solutions on telecommunications facilities.
• Determine design solutions for supporting telecommunications equipment and antennas on existing mast, tower structures, existing facilities, new field sites, and building rooftops.
• Perform structural design using relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Prepare and distribute information to drafting personnel.
• Take supervision and ownership of projects through all design phases.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines to meet tight deadlines.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to obtain necessary information and approvals.
• Update project tracking systems and tools.

Your Role

To complete designs that meet site specifications, you will proactively perform various engineering and design projects to achieve the results required by CPS clients.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Review and assess existing and new telecommunications facilities based on existing information and site visit photos
• Complete detailed sketches of existing features and proposed solutions on telecommunications facilities
• Determine design solutions for supporting telecommunications equipment and antennas on:
  • Existing mast or tower structures
  • Existing facilities
  • New field sites
  • Building rooftops
• Perform structural design using relevant standards and codes of practice
• Prepare and distribute information to drafting personnel
• Take supervision and ownership of projects through all design phases
• Manage multiple projects and timelines to meet tight deadlines
• Liaise with internal teams and clients to obtain necessary information and approvals
• Update project tracking systems and tools

Objectives

• Liaise with third-party contractors for specialized works (e.g., geotechnical, tower/monopole assessment) to achieve required project outcomes
• Proactively deliver engineering and design projects required by CPS clients
• Carry out duties professionally to promote the reputation of CPS
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of systems and standard procedures to support project delivery and service quality
• Foster a harmonious and supportive team environment
• Develop understanding of client processes
• Gain familiarity with project milestones and their relation to CPS fiscal objectives

WHS, Environmental And Quality Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in a manner that does not adversely affect your own health and safety or that of others
• Cooperate with workplace health and safety measures
• Undertake WHS training when provided
• Report all matters that may affect workplace health and safety to your supervisor/manager immediately
• Correctly use provided information, training, PPE, and safety devices
• Do not misuse or interfere with safety equipment or systems
• Only undertake tasks you are authorized and trained to perform, with appropriate safety arrangements in place

Essential Skills & Knowledge
