Are you a detail-oriented designer ready to bring Japanese quality, precision, and innovation to the Philippine real estate landscape? We are looking for a Design Associate to collaborate closely with our architectural and engineering teams—bridging the gap between creative vision and technical execution to turn high-caliber concepts into buildable, everyday reality.
Key Responsibilities
I. Architectural & Interior Design
- Assist in the development of architectural and interior design concepts, layouts, and details.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, furniture layouts, finish plans, and other design drawings.
- Assist in developing interior design schemes, material selections, furniture layouts, and finish specifications.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, material boards, and other visual materials.
- Assist in site measurements, site inspections, documentation, and preparation of as-built drawings.
- Ensure drawings and design documents are accurate, coordinated, and consistent with project standards.
II. Technical & MEPF Coordination
- Demonstrate basic understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
- Assist in coordinating architectural and interior design drawings with MEPF requirements.
- Identify potential conflicts between architectural/interior elements and MEPF provisions and coordinate these with the appropriate team.
- Assist in incorporating MEPF requirements into architectural and interior drawings.
III. CAD & Design Applications
- Prepare and revise technical drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
- Utilize SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization, rendering, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant design applications as required.
- Produce clear and organized presentation drawings and design documentation.
- Maintain proper file organization, drawing standards, layers, templates, and documentation.
IV. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders as required.
- Assist in preparing drawings and documents for design presentations, approvals, and construction.
- Incorporate design revisions and comments accurately and within required timelines.
- Support the senior design team in day-to-day project requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design field.
- Preferably 1–3 years of relevant experience in architectural, interior design, or construction-related projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling and visualization software.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or similar design applications is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage but not strictly required.
- Basic understanding of MEPF systems and coordination.
- Able to read and interpret architectural, interior, and basic engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of architectural planning, interior detailing, materials, and construction methods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Willing to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary design team.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong visual and design sense.
- Ability to produce both creative and technical design outputs.
- Knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and detailing.
- Ability to conduct site measurements and translate site conditions into drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
- Familiarity with rendering, presentation, and graphic layout.
- Proactive, responsible, and capable of working with minimal supervision when required.
