Job summary

ZE ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING SERVICES LIMITED is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our tooling and product design team in Batangas. You will create and review technical drawings, develop tooling concepts, and ensure designs meet DFM and customer specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of design experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, plus familiarity with 3D printing and basic CNC operations to support tooling

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product and tooling design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Foundational insight into PCBA manufacturing.
• Direct experience on product DFM and tooling/fixtures design.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with 3D printing (design parts and operate printer).
• Basic knowledge to run CNC machines and other tooling shop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances and customer specifications.
• Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Responsibilities

• Create and review technical drawings, and develop technical solutions for product and tooling.
• Conduct product DFM and analyze design per process capability and customer requirements.
• Review preliminary RFQ package and propose tooling/fixtures with competitive pricing.
• Translate customer drawings to internal company drawings for applications.
• Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain and update existing tools for improved methods.
• Provide technical support to users and address issues.
• Offer design solutions and/or re-engineering of products and tooling to be more competitive at lower prices.
• Support Engineering for New Development Projects.
• Participate in cost reduction, automation and KAIZEN projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
