Mainly responsible on the drawing generation, material takeoff, costing requests and design coordination.
Create detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings using CAD software (inclusive of assembly instructions, material lists and methodology to support fabrication and installation processes)
Translate design schematics and concept into production-ready technical documents which adheres to design standards and considers structural integrity, ergonomics, and material efficiency
Maintain organized documentation of all revisions, drawings, and technical records ensuring that all drawings have corresponding approvals
Collaborate with designers and production team to ensure technical drawings align with design intent, manufacturing capabilities, and material specifications
Provide technical support during prototyping, fabrication, and installation phases and troubleshoot design or material issues that arise during production and installation. Participate in design reviews and project planning meetings to provide technical input and updates as needed for the project
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending design or process optimizations and carry out other responsibilities as instructed by immediate superior within the overall function.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
At least 3–5 years of experience in technical design, drafting, or product development within manufacturing, construction, or furniture industries
