Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Deputy Sr. Maintenance Manager to assist the Senior Maintenance Manager in strategic maintenance direction for a 2 x 725MW coal plant. You will oversee C&I, Electrical, Mechanical, and Outage teams, ensuring reliable maintenance strategies and safe operation.

This role emphasizes leadership, risk/asset management, and continuous improvement, with focus on CMMS (Maximo) and aligning with company goals for power generation and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical/electronics/instrumentation engineering.
• Registered engineer in relevant jurisdiction or equivalent.
• 10–12 years in maintenance/operations at large-scale coal power plants or heavy industry.
• 5–7 years in a management capacity overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as Officer-in-Charge in absence of Sr. Maintenance Manager, ensuring uninterrupted CMMS/Maximo strategies across all maintenance disciplines.
• Lead multi-disciplinary coordination across C&I, Electrical, Mechanical, and Outage, collaborating with Operations to address plant-wide deviations.
• Support executive oversight on major scheduled shutdowns and outages, tracking ORI and OEI metrics.

As Deputy Sr. Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Maintenance Manager in the overarching strategic direction and execution of all maintenance programs for the 2 x 725MW gross Supercritical Coal Power Plant facility. Also, serves as the primary delegate and assumes full authority to direct and supervise the C&I, Electrical, Mechanical (MH&BOP and Turbine & Boiler), Outage, and Works & Technical Facilities maintenance teams when the Senior Maintenance Manager is unavailable. Lastly, supports the continuous improvement of plant reliability, availability, and safety by enforcing maintenance strategies (Preventive, Corrective, Predictive) in strict alignment with GNPD's goals and O&M Manuals, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Maintenance team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Act as the Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Sr. Maintenance Manager, ensuring uninterrupted execution of CMMS/Maximo strategies across all maintenance disciplines
• Assist in leading multi-disciplinary coordination across C&I, Electrical, Mechanical, and Outage departments, collaborating with Operations to address plant-wide deviations
• Support executive oversight on major scheduled shutdowns and forced outages, ensuring the Outage Readiness Indicator (ORI) and Outage Execution Indicator (OEI) metrics are closely tracked

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Registered Engineer (ME, EE, ECE, or equivalent)
• At least 10–12 years of experience in maintenance and operations in large-scale Coal-fired Power Plants (preferably supercritical units) or heavy industry.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a management capacity overseeing multi-disciplinary technical teams
• A Professional Engineer License (e.g., PME, PEE, PECE) or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
• A driver’s license is required.
