CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp. seeks a Deputy Credit Card Head to establish and lead the credit card business, from strategy to operations. You will partner with the international payment team and oversee product development, risk management, and vendor relationships.

The Deputy Credit Card Head is tasked to establish and manage the overall Credit Cards Business. Primary responsible for building the credit card business from ground up, including implementation and operation; has strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to deliver the outcome, and; will work closely with the international payment team from the parent bank.
1. Business Launch and Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to launch the credit card business from scratch.
Create a roadmap for business growth, including market entry strategy, product development, and operational setup.
2. Credit card business Implementation:
Design and implement a fully functional credit card business that encompasses all necessary functions, including but not limited to:
a. Product development and management
b. Customer acquisition and marketing
c. Work with the risk team to manage the asset quality
Customer service and support
a. Billing and collections
b. Fraud prevention
c. Rewards program management
d. Oversee the selection and implementation of necessary technology systems and platforms.
3. Team Building and Management:
Recruit, train, and lead a team of professionals across various functions within the credit card business.
Develop organizational structure and define roles and responsibilities for the new business.
4. Product Development and Management:
Lead the development of competitive credit card products tailored to target market segments.
Ensure products comply with local regulations and align with the bank's overall strategy.
5. Operational Excellence:
Establish efficient operational processes and workflows for the credit card business.
Implement best practices in credit card operations, ensuring scalability for future growth.
6. Risk Management and Compliance:
Work with the risk team to develop a robust risk management capability while growing the customer base
Ensure full compliance with local and international banking regulations related to credit card operations.
7. International Collaboration:
Work closely with the international payment team from the parent bank to ensure alignment on global strategies and leveraging of group resources.
Collaborate on technology integration, payment processing, and cross-border initiatives.
8. Vendor and Partner Management:
Identify, select, and manage relationships with key vendors and partners, including payment networks, technology providers, and service partners.
9. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the credit card business.
Provide regular reports to senior management on business progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
10. Budget Management:
Develop and manage the budget for the credit card business, including initial setup costs and ongoing operational expenses.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
3. More than 10 years of experience in the credit card or consumer finance industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
4. Proven track record of successfully launching or significantly growing a credit card business.
5. Strong understanding of end-to-end credit card operations, including technology platforms, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
6. Extensive knowledge of the credit card market, including
Deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Established relationships with key personnel from major payment schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, and JCB.
7. Ability to leverage industry connections to drive business growth and partnerships.
Strong network within the payment ecosystem, particularly:
Relationships with emerging fintech companies and new payment service providers.
Proven ability to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology partners to rapidly expand credit card business.
Experience in negotiating and managing successful collaborations in the fintech space.
8. Solid understanding of the regulatory environment and established relationships with relevant government bodies, including:
Familiarity with BSP regulations and policies affecting the credit card industry.
Connections with key personnel in credit card regulatory units.
Active involvement or leadership roles in credit card associations.
9. Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a start-up environment.
Deep knowledge of credit card industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Experience working with international teams and global payment systems.
