RAM Food Products Inc. is seeking a Demand Planner to analyze demand patterns, forecast future product needs, and ensure production aligns with market requirements.
You will collaborate with sales, production, supply chain, and procurement to optimize inventory levels and minimize shortages. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting in manufacturing.
A Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing demand patterns, forecasting future product needs, and ensuring production aligns with market requirements. They collaborate closely with sales, production, supply chain, and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stock shortages, and reduce excess inventory costs.
Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and statistical models.
Adjust forecasts based on seasonality, new product launches, promotional activities, and market shifts.
Monitor and refine demand planning models to improve forecast accuracy.
Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to align manufacturing schedules with demand forecasts.
Ensure raw material availability aligns with production needs to avoid delays.
Identify potential risks in supply and demand fluctuations and recommend proactive solutions.
Work closely with sales, marketing, procurement, and logistics teams to align demand plans with business objectives.
Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to balance supply and demand
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management in a manufacturing setting.
Experience working with manufacturing operations and production planning.
Knowledge of statistical forecasting models and inventory optimization techniques.
