Job summary

Cebu Pacific Air is hiring a Defects Analyst Engineer to monitor defect trends, develop troubleshooting plans, and coordinate field actions. You will support safety programs and work within a hybrid Pasay City setup.

Ideal candidates have aeronautical engineering backgrounds, fleet systems knowledge, and Airbus AIRMAN training, with 6–10 years in Line/BME roles and Philippine work authorization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or AMT with 6–10 years Line & BME experience.
• Familiarity with Fleet Tech Management Systems (AIMS, AMOS).
• Proficiency with Airbus Troubleshooting Systems (AIRMAN).
• Commercial aircraft technical training for current Cebu Pac fleet.
• Must have valid work authorization to work in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance defect trends via logs, PIREPS, and post-flight summaries with field Troubleshooting.
• Develop troubleshooting strategies for complex and recurring defects and AOGs.
• Coordinate with DAEs/DDEs in the field to issue instructions to maintenance providers to rectify faults.
• Participate in CEB SMS to uphold safety and report hazards.
• Escalate issues to superiors when necessary.
• Perform other tasks and comply with company rules.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor the short and long term trend of maintenance defects occurring at the Line Maintenance level via Maintenance Log entries / PIREPS and aircraft Post-Flight Report Summaries and to immediately assist in the field for its actual Troubleshooting and or rectification.
• Develop troubleshooting strategies and plans to address complex, intransient and recurring defects, AOGs per actual observation.
• When in the field (ramp), he must immediately coordinate with DAEs / DDEs to ensure troubleshooting instructions are issued to the Maintenance Providers base to his recommendation as observed during his field or ramp visit assessment on the troubled aircraft to promptly rectify the indicated system failure(s) and prevent an operational disruption or AOGs.
• To actively participate in CEB SMS by ensuring that highest reasonable level of safety performance is achieved by complying with all applicable safety and security laws, regulations and standards and by reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
• Elevate issues to his superiors as deemed necessary.
• Perform other tasks as directed by his superiors.
• To observe Company rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or associated engineering or AMT course w/ six (6) minimum years engineer A in Line & BME, or Min 8-10 years experience as Line Aircraft Mech.
• Familiarity with Typical Fleet Technical Management Systems such as AIMS, AMOS etc.
• Proficient with Airbus Troubleshooting Systems (AIRMAN)
• Commercial aircraft technical training (either AIRBUS or ATR) for current CEBPAC and CEBGO FLEET.
• Must have a valid work visa or legal authorization to work in the Philippines

Note: This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement.
