Job summary

Cebu Pacific Air is seeking a cybersecurity professional to monitor network traffic, analyze alerts, and drive threat detection using SIEM/EDR and related technologies. The role emphasizes incident response, containment, and root-cause analysis within a hybrid setup based in Pasay City.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in cybersecurity, familiarity with NIST/ISO frameworks, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent are preferred.
• Training in SIEM, EDR, or incident response tools is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, network defense, or threat monitoring.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint security, and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts for potential security threats or incidents.


• Conduct threat detection, analysis, and response using SIEM tools, EDR, and other cybersecurity technologies.


• Investigate and triage security alerts to determine severity, scope, and appropriate response actions.


• Support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and root-cause analysis.


• Maintain and tune security monitoring tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.


• Perform vulnerability scanning and assist in remediation coordination with relevant IT teams.


• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure systems are configured securely.


• Participate in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for security operations.


• Generate security reports, dashboards, and metrics for management and audit review.


• Assist in developing playbooks and response workflows to streamline SOC processes.


• Stay up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.


• Support periodic penetration testing, red/blue team exercises, and threat-hunting activities.


• Contribute to Cebu Pacific's cybersecurity awareness and risk mitigation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.


• Experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint security, and intrusion detection systems.


• Familiarity with common frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.


• Experience handling incidents in enterprise-scale environments preferred.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks


• Proficient in security tools and automation scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell), with the ability to manage multiple security incidents effectively under pressure


• Excellent communication, coordination, teamwork, and collaboration skills across SOC and cross-functional teams.

This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement .
