Job summary

ERNI Philippines in Manila is seeking a Database Administrator to join our expanding team. You will manage and optimize database environments, ensure availability, and support cloud migrations.

You will work in a hybrid setup (remote/onsite) with flexible hours, focusing on MS SQL Server, Azure PostgreSQL, Oracle and Snowflake, plus scripting with PowerShell/Python.

Qualifications

• Experience in database administration and production support.
• Hands-on with MS SQL Server and Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
• Knowledge of Oracle DB and Snowflake is advantageous.
• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and access management.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure and OCI.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell, Python, SQL, Bash, or similar.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain database environments for availability.

• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and config reviews.

What are our wishes?

• Experience in database administration and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database and Snowflake is an advantage.
• Experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, database security, and access management.
• Experience with database migrations and platform upgrades.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Assist with moving databases between cloud and self-hosted environments.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive database administration tasks.

Work Arrangement

• Remote set up / onsite - when needed only
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Mon–Fri)
