Job summary

Marsh in Mexico seeks an experienced PostgreSQL IT professional to join our team. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days in the office.

You will install PostgreSQL on Linux, create databases and objects, manage users/roles, and implement backup and recovery. You will collaborate with offshore teams and communicate effectively.

Strong written and spoken English is expected, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Information Technology team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This position is for a productive professional individual contributor in Information Technology, who works independently with minimal supervision. You will be part of a large team across AUS, UK, Canada & US responsible for significant databases & projects related to our PostgreSQL environment. We are offering an emerging and varied role and responsibilities in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.

We will count on you to:

• Have experience installing PostgreSQL on Linux servers.
• Have hands on experience creating PostgreSQL databases and objects.
• Create, update, and drop users and roles.
• Understand PostgreSQL backup and recovery processes.
• Work closely with an offshore team to ensure smooth transition of work handover.
• Demonstrate proficiency in communication and a good level of English.

• At least 2+ years of PostgreSQL experience.
