Job summary

QBE Group Shared Services Centre is seeking a Data Analyst to provide expertise in reporting and analytics to support strategic decisions in a global shared services environment.

You will map reporting processes, manage stakeholders, identify trends, and champion MI Data Warehouse and reporting tools to drive operational efficiency and business outcomes. Strong BI skills and experience with SAS/SQL are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience as a Business Analyst/Reporting Analyst with QlikView, Power BI or Tableau.
• Technical experience in SAS, SQL and Access, preferably in insurance/financial services.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support data needs for assigned areas by identifying databases and extracting data for stakeholders.
• Deliver reliable data insights by analyzing, testing, and manipulating data per guidelines.
• Assist with ad-hoc reports and projects to align with business needs.
• Document data processes, workflows, and analysis methodologies.
• Learn and apply basic statistical techniques for data analysis.
