Job summary

blaseek is seeking a Data Security Engineer to lead data protection, DLP, and information governance across on-prem and cloud environments. The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and collaboration with stakeholders to align security controls with business needs.

You will design and implement data protection controls, configure DLP policies (e.g., Microsoft Purview), and continuously tune policies to balance security with usability for diverse teams and data flows.

Qualifications

• Experience in data security, information protection, or DLP-focused security engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP or similar enterprise DLP platforms.
• Strong understanding of data classification, access control, and cloud security principles.
• Experience analyzing security logs and alerts.
• Comfortable working independently in evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage data protection and DLP controls across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Configure and operate Microsoft Purview DLP, data labeling, and information protection policies, or equivalent platforms.
• Define and enforce policies for external data sharing and API access controls.
• Analyze DLP alerts and signals to identify abnormal or risky behavior.
• Partner with engineering and business teams to understand data flows and operational needs.
• Continuously tune policies to balance security, usability, and business impact.
