Iax GmbH is seeking a Data Privacy Officer to join its Risk Management team. The role oversees the organization’s data privacy framework, ensures compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, and promotes a strong culture of data protection across the business.

You will lead privacy program development, conduct PIAs, manage data breach responses, and collaborate with stakeholders to safeguard personal data and drive privacy awareness throughout the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or related functions.
• Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data protection policies.

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization’s privacy management program.

Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and provide guidance on privacy-related matters.

Manage data breach incidents, investigations, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper handling, processing, and protection of personal data.

Develop and facilitate privacy awareness and training programs for employees.

Monitor regulatory developments and recommend necessary policy and process enhancements.

Support risk management initiatives and contribute to governance and compliance activities.
