Private Advertiser is seeking an entry-level data privacy assistant to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of its data privacy program. The role includes maintaining records of processing activities and data inventories, ensuring compliance with privacy policies, and coordinating with departments on privacy-related documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a Law-related degree, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the organization's data privacy management program.
Assist in maintaining records of personal data processing activities and data inventories.
Monitor compliance with data privacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with various departments regarding privacy-related concerns, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Assist in the investigation, documentation, and resolution of privacy-related incidents and inquiries.
Prepare reports, presentations, memoranda, and other documents related to data privacy initiatives.
Support the review of data sharing agreements, consent forms, privacy notices, and other data protection documents.
Assist in handling requests concerning data subjects' rights, including access, correction, and deletion requests.
Monitor developments in data protection laws, regulations, and best practices and provide recommendations when necessary.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the ODP.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
Relevant experience in data privacy, compliance, legal research, risk management, records management, or regulatory affairs is an advantage.
Knowledge of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and related issuances is preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
