Job summary

Company Confidential is seeking a Data Privacy Executive to safeguard customer and employee data in line with Philippine data protection laws. The role includes leading audits, drafting policies, and training staff across business units to foster a culture of privacy compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years in data protection, solid regulatory knowledge, and strong communication. This on-site position in Metro Manila offers opportunities to shape privacy practices

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in data protection compliance or related field.
• Knowledge of Philippines data protection laws including PAGCOR.
• Experience in legal, audit, or risk functions.
• Ability to handle confidential information under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of data processing operations within a company.
• Knowledge of computer security systems.
• Ethical and impartial with the ability to report non-compliances.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certifications such as CDPO/CISSP/CIPM/CDPCO/ISO 27001 Lead Auditor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and educate employees on data compliance requirements.
• Review contracts and documents for data protection compliance.
• Draft or amend internal data protection policies and procedures.
• Hold training sessions with employees across units involved in data handling.
• Proactively conduct audits to ensure compliance and address issues.
• Maintain records of data processing activities.
• Act as main liaison between the company and data protection authorities/LGUs.
