Data Platform Architect — Own the Single Source of Truth

Job summary

EviSmart in Manila is seeking a Data Engineer to own our data platform, ensuring a single source of truth across teams. You’ll build pipelines from multiple systems into a central warehouse, maintain data quality, and enable self-serve analytics for product, sales, finance, and AI efforts.

You will lead a small data team, collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, and shape governance and data availability. This role is on-site at BGC with dayshift hours.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, owning a production data warehouse or platform end to end.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on with modern data pipeline/ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran).
• Experience with layered warehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold).
• Hands-on with Databricks and Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL).
• Experience integrating data from in-house systems and third-party platforms (CRM, finance, PM tools).
• Experience exposing data via APIs or working with API-consuming teams.
• Some exposure to ML/AI data needs and a willingness to work with such data.
• People management experience or readiness to grow a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build and run reliable, automated data pipelines from multiple systems into a central warehouse.
• Maintain a single source of truth so all teams see the same numbers.
• Own data quality monitoring and issue remediation before downstream impact.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver ready-to-use data in near real-time.
• Review changes to data structures to prevent breaking downstream reports.
• Structure and document data for self-serve access by teams and AI tools.
• Lead and grow a small data engineering team and support a data analyst.
