Job summary

Gamigo Philippines Inc. in Cebu City is seeking a data engineer to design, implement, and optimize our data infrastructure and pipelines, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization.

You will design scalable ETL processes, maintain data models, and ensure data quality with robust validation and monitoring. Collaboration with analytics and engineering teams is essential to deliver robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including BigQuery and GCS.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and task scheduling.
• In-depth knowledge of DBT for data transformation and modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of Kafka or other streaming platforms for real-time data processing.
• Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience with Logstash pipeline modelling.
• Experience with Elastic.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and transform large volumes of data.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database designs to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and monitoring mechanisms.
• Optimize data processes and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide timely support to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data engineering and recommend improvements to enhance data infrastructure.
