Job summary

Evismart is seeking a Data Engineer to own our data platform, serving as the single source of truth for the organization. You will build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensure data quality, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, structured data for decision-makers and AI initiatives.

You will lead a small data team, collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Product, and continuously improve data accessibility and reliability while protecting the integrity of the warehouse.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a track record of owning a production data warehouse or platform end to end.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern data pipeline and ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran).
• Experience with a layered warehouse architecture (bronze/silver/gold).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL).
• Comfort integrating data from multiple in-house systems and third-party platforms (CRM, finance, PM tools).
• Experience exposing data via APIs or serving data to teams through APIs.
• Interest in ML/AI data needs and building clean, structured data for pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Data pipelines: build and run reliable pipelines that bring data from multiple systems into a central warehouse.
• Maintain a single, trusted data record so all teams see the same numbers.
• Data quality: monitor and fix data issues before they reach downstream consumers.
• Proactive delivery: collaborate with teams to provide clean, structured data in near real-time.
• Review changes to data structures to prevent downstream breakage.
• Enable self-serve access so teams and AI tools can query data directly.
• Lead and grow a small data team and support a data analyst.
