Job summary

Zepz is seeking a seasoned Data Ops Analyst to join our team in Manila. You will operate with significant independence to support critical data needs and build foundational data models that drive our cross-border remittance business forward.

You will lead technical projects from conception to deployment, partnering with data analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, self-serve data for strategic decisions. Strong SQL/Python skills and experience with Databricks are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Experience in the financial services or FinTech industry, especially cross-border payments.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse technologies, specifically Databricks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead technical projects from conception to deployment.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate objectives into technical projects.
• Utilize Python and SQL to perform analytics and build automated scripts; prototype with Excel.
• Oversee data reconciliation processes using AutoRek or ReconArt where applicable.
• Lead the adoption of data transformation tooling to empower teams with data-driven decisions.
