Job summary

NAC Energy Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design, structure, and maintain the data environment supporting BMI. You will mine, process, and integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring reliability, security, and accessibility for analytics.

You will work with external system providers, support data governance, and help improve data workflows, storage structures, and system performance for renewable energy projects in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years relevant experience in data engineering, database management, or data operations roles.
• Proven experience in structuring, processing, and maintaining databases and data pipelines.
• Experience working with multi-source datasets and maintaining data quality and consistency.
• Exposure to data governance practices, including access control, documentation, and basic security concepts.
• Experience working with system providers or external vendors is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the power industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Program, design, structure, and maintain databases and data repositories supporting business and market intelligence
• Mine, process, clean, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into standardized formats
• Implement and maintain basic data governance controls, including data quality checks, access controls, and documentation
• Support the BMI Manager in improving data workflows, storage structures, and system performance
• Coordinate with system providers and vendors during data platform development, enhancement, or troubleshooting
• Provide technical support to BMI analysts and officers in accessing and using structured data

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, structure, and maintain the data environment that supports the Business and Market Intelligence function. The role is responsible for data mining, programming, structuring, processing, integration, automation, maintenance, and basic governance controls, working closely with the Business and Market Intelligence Manager to ensure that intelligence data is reliable, accessible, secure, and fit for analytical and decision-support use. The role supports the development and enhancement of internal databases and works with external system providers when required.
