Job summary

Mediaandgamesinvest in Cebu City is seeking a Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data infrastructure and pipelines, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization.

You will build scalable ETL processes, maintain data models, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data warehousing and real-time data processing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, Python, GCP (BigQuery, GCS), Airflow, dbt, SQL, and knowledge of Kafka.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including BigQuery and GCS.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and task scheduling.
• In-depth knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modelling
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of Kafka or other streaming platforms for real-time data processing.
• Strong data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, process, and transform large volumes of data.
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database designs to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and monitoring mechanisms.
• Optimize data processes and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide timely support to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data engineering and recommend improvements to enhance data infrastructure.
