Verve Corporate in Cebu City, Philippines, is seeking a Data Engineer (onsite) to design, implement, and optimize our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will ensure smooth data flow from multiple sources to our data warehouse, enabling data-driven decisions across the organization.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with GCP, Airflow, dbt, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and task scheduling.
• In-depth knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of Kafka or other streaming platforms for real-time data processing.
• Strong data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database designs to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
