Job summary

GM Philippines is seeking a candidate pursuing a bachelor’s degree or recent graduate in Engineering, Economics, Foreign Trade, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance to join our team on a hybrid mid-shift basis (1pm–10pm). You will work from the GM Philippines office three days per week and contribute to our automotive parts and compliance initiatives.

You will perform engineering research to identify technical specifications, analyze customs notes for HS classifications, assign tariff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current study in Engineering, Economics, Foreign Trade, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in or experience with automotive parts and their functions.
• Knowledge in customs classification and customs legislation is an advantage.
• Willing to work on mid shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering research to identify technical specifications.
• Analyze Customs Explanatory Notes for the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
• Assign Harmonized System (HS) tariff codes and foreign descriptions to goods.
• Perform routine consistency and quality reviews.
• Provide status updates to leaders.
