Job summary

Expeditors in Parañaque, Philippines, is seeking a Customs Brokerage Lead Agent to ensure smooth import/export processes, accurate data entry, and timely billing within our global logistics network.

You will work under the Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager, applying knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, and client service to maintain compliant, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs brokerage process and legislation, incl. classification, valuation, origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documents.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, well organized with strong computer skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Enter data into our operational system accurately.
• Track and Trace Customs files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Interpret Desk Level Operating Procedure for imports/exports and fulfill customer instructions.
• Transfer customs declaration information into the entry system to build a valid declaration.
• Assist with verification of declaration information and submission to customs.
• Ensure compliance at all times with regulations.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Custom files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing
• Understand all the elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer´s instructions and expectations.
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
• Ensure compliance at all times to regulations

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation – especially with regards to classification, valuation and origin
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation process
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Pro-active approach, strong organizational and computer skills
• Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Fluent in English
