Responsibilities

• Assist customers in opening various types of accounts (e.g., savings, checking, business, joint accounts)
• Verify identity and documentation (e.g., ID, proof of address)
• Explain account types, terms, and services available
• Greet and assist clients in person, via phone
• Provide information on bank products and services
• Respond to inquiries regarding account status, balances, and procedures
• Accurately input customer data into the bank’s system
• Maintain updated records and documentation for each account
• Ensure confidentiality and security of customer information
• Ensure all new accounts comply with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML)
• Cross-check documents for completeness and accuracy
• Identify customers’ needs and recommend appropriate bank products (e.g., loans)
• Communicate with supervisors regarding account issues or irregularities
• File physical documents
• Assist with account closures and changes to account information
• Follow up on pending account applications or documentation
• Receive loan applications and forward to Loan Accounts Division for processing
• Reliever of Teller during absences
• Adhere to risk management policies and report unusual activity
• Scans and uploads the KYC documents to the system
• Perform other related duties as assigned
