Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some employers may prefer an Associate's degree or prior retail/customer service experience.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with buyers.
• Math Skills: Basic arithmetic and numerical accuracy to handle cash drawers, make change, and process transactions.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and routinely lift moderate weights up to 50 lbs for stocking and inventory purposes.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly, identify needs, and provide expert product recommendations and demonstrations.
• Meet or exceed sales targets by upselling, cross-selling, and informing customers about promotions or loyalty programs.
• Maintain the visual appeal of the sales floor, restock shelves, set up merchandise displays, and ensure price tags are accurate.
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems to process cash and card payments, handle returns, and issue refunds.
• Listen to customer complaints and resolve them with empathy and professionalism.
• Stay fully updated on product features, specifications, and store policies to answer queries.
