Job summary

Coins is the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, regulated by the BSP and holding both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses. We seek a corporate lawyer with 1–5 years of post-qualification experience to manage governance, licensing, and regulatory submissions across our group.

You will work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, handling contracts, filings, and risk advisement to support Coins’ growth in the Philippines and beyond.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 1–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance in the Philippines.
• Familiar with BSP and SEC licensing processes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on regulatory and corporate governance issues across entities.
• Maintain corporate records including by-laws, registers, and minutes.
• Prepare and file regulatory submissions with BSP, SEC, BIR, LGUs, etc.
• Drive licensing efforts end to end for regulated entities.
• Manage approvals and documentation for group transactions and restructurings.
• Track deadlines and escalate non-compliance risks.
• Advise on legal risks in a compliance-oriented environment.
• Coordinate with external counsel and cross-border teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial contracts.
• Attend case conferences and hearings with courts and government agencies.
• Handle other duties as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.
