Job summary

OSM Thome is seeking a Sous Chef to join our cruise culinary team, working at sea on a passenger vessel in the Mediterranean. You will collaborate with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality meals for guests and crew while maintaining a clean, safe galley environment.

Key responsibilities include assisting with daily food preparation, supervising the galley team, and ensuring hygiene, safety, and presentation standards are met. This contract role requires STCW and sea-service readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Sous Chef or Senior Cook, preferably on passenger vessels.
• Good knowledge of international and cruise-style cuisine.
• Familiar with galley safety, HACCP and food hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Supervise galley team during service and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and cleanliness in all galley areas.
• Monitor food quality, portions and presentation.
• Support stock control, storage and correct use of provisions.
