The Critical Infrastructure Assurance Manager is a specialized leadership role responsible for validating and certifying that newly constructed or upgraded data centers are fully commissioned, resilient, and operationally ready before handover to live operations. Reporting to the Head of Regional Operations, the position oversees design validation, commissioning audits (Cx Levels 1–5 and IST), operational readiness assessments, defect management, compliance, and risk mitigation across critical power, cooling, security, and monitoring systems. The role serves as the bridge between engineering/construction teams and operations, ensuring infrastructure is built according to design intent and capable of supporting continuous 24/7 mission‑critical services. In addition, the position is structured as a dual‑role function that can assume full responsibility as a Data Center Site Operations Manager when required, leading daily site operations, client fulfillment, maintenance programs, team development, and uptime performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in data center engineering, commissioning, AI/high‑density infrastructure, capacity planning, and critical facility operations, combined with proven leadership, compliance management, and customer‑focused operational excellence.
The Critical Infrastructure Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all newly constructed or upgraded data center sites are thoroughly validated, tested, and fully prepared to transition into live operations. The role exists to bridge the gap between construction/engineering handovers and day‑to‑day operations by verifying that all engineering designs are correctly executed, installed equipment meets strict standards, and systems are completely resilient. Reporting directly to the Head of Regional Operations, this highly specialized position ensures that the facility’s power, cooling, and security infrastructure are built to design intent and can support continuous 24/7 operations without risk. The primary objectives are to minimize day‑one operational risks, audit engineering validation processes (such as Commissioning Levels 1‑5), and officially certify that the data center is "Ready to Operate." Dual‑Role Alignment: In addition to specialized engineering validation, this position is explicitly structured to dual‑align with site operations leadership. As organizational needs arise, the job holder will step in to act as a full‑time DC Site Operations Manager. In this capacity, they will directly assume full ownership of day‑to‑day site operations, team leadership, client fulfillment, and facility uptime management for an assigned data center asset.
Audit engineering designs against physical site installations. Monitor and sign off on facility commissioning stages (functional performance and Integrated Systems Testing – IST) to verify that redundant systems fail‑over seamlessly under load.
Develop the "Ready to Operate" (RTO) framework. Identify, track, and manage engineering defects and installation errors. Ensure all As‑Built drawings, O&M manuals, and asset registries are verified and transferred seamlessly.
Step in as the full‑time DC Site Operations Manager when requested. Manage the day‑to‑day operations, ensure optimal uptime, oversee routine facility maintenance, and drive daily operational excellence.
Lead, manage, and inspire the site operations team. Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous development, ensuring the team is capable of executing both complex testing and steady‑state operations.
Manage client fulfillment processes at the site level when operating the facility. Build strong client relationships, oversee accurate service delivery, and promptly resolve any customer issues or escalations.
Ensure all site validation activities and ongoing operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and corporate policies. Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential operational shortfalls.
