Job description

At Globe, our goal is to create a wonderful world for our people, business, and nation. By uniting people of passion who believe they can make a difference, we are confident that we can achieve this goal. Job Description

The Critical Infrastructure Assurance Manager is a specialized leadership role responsible for validating and certifying that newly constructed or upgraded data centers are fully commissioned, resilient, and operationally ready before handover to live operations. Reporting to the Head of Regional Operations, the position oversees design validation, commissioning audits (Cx Levels 1–5 and IST), operational readiness assessments, defect management, compliance, and risk mitigation across critical power, cooling, security, and monitoring systems. The role serves as the bridge between engineering/construction teams and operations, ensuring infrastructure is built according to design intent and capable of supporting continuous 24/7 mission‑critical services.

In addition, the position is structured as a dual‑role function that can assume full responsibility as a Data Center Site Operations Manager when required, leading daily site operations, client fulfillment, maintenance programs, team development, and uptime performance. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in data center engineering, commissioning, AI/high-density infrastructure, capacity planning, and critical facility operations, combined with proven leadership, compliance management, and customer‑focused operational excellence. Summary of Scope of

Work The Critical Infrastructure Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all newly constructed or upgraded data centre sites are thoroughly validated, tested, and fully prepared to transition into live operations. The role exists to bridge the gap between construction/engineering handovers and day‑to‑day operations by verifying that all engineering designs are correctly executed, installed equipment meets strict standards, and systems are completely resilient.

Reporting directly to the Head of Regional Operations, this highly specialised position ensures that the facility’s power, cooling, and security infrastructure are built to design intent and can support continuous 24/7 operations without risk. The primary objectives are to minimise day‑one operational risks, audit engineering validation processes (such as Commissioning Levels 1–5), and officially certify that the data centre is "Ready to Operate." Dual‑Role Alignment: In addition to specialised engineering validation, this position is explicitly structured to dual‑align with site operations leadership.

As organisational needs arise, the job holder will step in to act as a full‑time DC Site Operations Manager. In this capacity, they will directly assume full ownership of day‑to‑day site operations, team leadership, client fulfilment, and facility uptime management for an assigned data centre asset.

Professional Background and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computing, or a related technical field.

Experience: At least 5–7 years in data centre engineering, commissioning, or critical facilities infrastructure, with a minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role within a 24/7 mission‑critical facility environment. High Density Infrastructure: Experience in handling High density /AI design, capacity planning and solution and provisioning.

Professional Qualifications & Training Certifications: Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) designation is preferred. Relevant data centre management or technical certifications such as CDCP, ITIL, CCNA, or CCNP are distinct advantages. Knowledge and Skills Technical Validation: Deep knowledge of testing and commissioning methodologies (Levels 1 through 5) for data centre infrastructure, including MV/LV electrical distribution, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAHs, and BMS/EPMS platforms.

Design & Engineering Literacy: Proven ability to read, interpret, and audit complex engineering schematics and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) against actual physical installations. Leadership & Operations: Proven ability to lead and manage a high‑performing site operations team, balancing both testing phases and daily live facility operations. Compliance & Standards: In‑depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and risk management policies for data centre operations.

Capacity & Space Planning: Expertise in infrastructure and system architecture based on space, power, and cooling constraints. Focus: CFD modelling, structural loading, and power topology. Competencies Engineering Quality & Auditing: An uncompromising eye for detail; ability to spot deviations between engineering design intent and physical installation.

Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of data centre operations principles, best practices, and the ability to manage live facility infrastructure effectively when acting as Site Manager. Client Focus: Strong focus on fulfilling client requirements and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction during both the transition and operational phases. Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical and operational issues.

Adaptability & Versatility: High capacity to fluidly transition between specialised project validation tasks and standard, day‑to‑day live operations management as business demands change. Key Duties and Responsibilities Measurement Criteria / Metrics Design Validation & Commissioning Oversight Audit engineering designs against physical site installations. Monitor and sign off on facility commissioning stages (functional performance and Integrated Systems Testing - IST) to verify that redundant systems failover seamlessly under load.

  • Design Gaps Identified: 100% of critical design‑to‑field deviations documented prior to functional testing.
  • IST Success Rate: 100% verification of concurrent maintainability and fault tolerance.

Operational Readiness & Snagging Develop the "Ready to Operate" (RTO) framework. Identify, track, and manage engineering defects and installation errors. Ensure all As‑Built drawings, O&M manuals, and asset registries are verified and transferred seamlessly.

  • Punch List Resolution: 100% of Category A (critical) punch‑list items closed out before site handover.
  • Documentation Completeness: 100% availability of validated technical records on Day 1.

Full‑Time Site Operations Management (As Needed) Step in as the full‑time DC Site Operations Manager when requested. Manage the day‑to‑day operations, ensure optimal uptime, oversee routine facility maintenance, and drive daily operational excellence.
