About the role
The Credit Insurance Specialist provides day-to-day support in managing the company's credit insurance activities to help minimize accounts receivable risk and protect the company's financial interests. The role is responsible for processing customer credit insurance applications, monitoring credit limits and insurance coverage, coordinating with external insurance providers, and supporting claims processing to ensure secure and efficient customer transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and organize customer qualification documents, including business licenses, financial statements, bank statements, and other required documentation.
- Prepare and process credit limit applications and insurance declarations through the online platforms of credit insurance providers such as Sinosure, Coface, and Atradius.
- Monitor the status of credit limit applications and provide timely updates to the Sales and Finance teams.
- Regularly monitor customer credit limits, utilization, and insurance coverage ratios to identify potential credit risks.
- Provide timely alerts when customer credit limits are nearing their thresholds or when insurance coverage ratios exceed established warning levels.
- Assist Sales and Finance teams in requesting additional credit limits or insurance coverage when necessary.
- Manage day-to-day credit insurance system activities, including declarations, endorsements, renewals, and related account updates.
- Support credit insurance claims by gathering required documents, preparing claim forms, coordinating with insurance providers, and monitoring claims through to settlement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit insurance records and trackers, ensuring data consistency and completeness.
- Serve as a key point of contact between the company and external credit insurance providers.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, International Trade, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in credit insurance, accounts receivable, credit risk, financial operations, or a related function.
- Experience in credit insurance operations is highly preferred.
- Experience working with credit insurance providers such as Sinosure, Coface, or Atradius is an advantage.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, with strong knowledge of VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial and customer information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external institutions.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple applications, records, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously.
