Job summary

Eight Under Par (Pawnshop Operator), Inc. is seeking a dedicated Credit Analyst to assess loan applications and determine repayment capacity. You will validate income sources, build borrower cash flow analyses, and document findings in the Loan Recommendation Memo.

In this role, you will support Credit and Compliance Head with field verifications, risk assessments, and adherence to company policies. Fresh graduates with accounting backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field, preferably Accounting.
• Fresh graduates welcome if accounting graduate; preference for credit analysis experience.
• Competency in core banking platforms, especially loans module.

Responsibilities

• Validate sources of income and create borrower cashflow analyses to assess repayment capacity.
• Prepare and submit Loan Recommendation Memos (credit portion) on time.
• Conduct credit risk analysis, including trend and peer industry research.
• Ensure compliance with company policies on credit investigation, appraisal, evaluation and administration.
• Execute directives from the Credit and Compliance Head, including but not limited to field validations and verifications.
• Maintain peer analysis files for key financial ratios and credit findings.

Key Responsibilities

Effective Credit Analysis

• Validation of sources of income
• Correct recreation of borrower's cashflow to determine capacity to pay
• Timeliness of submission of Loan Recommendation Memos (credit portion)

Credit Risk Management

• Mitigate credit risks through thorough trend/peer industry analysis and independent market research.
• Compliance to applicable policies and procedures of the Company covering credit investigation, property appraisal, credit evaluation and credit administration;

Ad hoc assignments

• Able to execute directives/instructions from Direct Head on time.

Scope and Limitation

1. Effectively evaluate loan applications assigned in the Loans Center within the standard time frame.
2. Accomplish the credit portion of the Loans Recommendation Memo (LRM) through the conduct of the following activities:
3. thorough validation and assessment of the sources of income of the borrower
4. create a cashflow analysis of the borrower to determine capacity to pay and viability of loan package
5. incorporate the results of the credit investigation and appraisal report into the LRM
6. present results of evaluation, credit findings and/or recommendation to approving authorities
7. Execute directives/instructions from the Credit and Compliance Head, including but not limited to additional field validations, bank/FI verification and supplier checking.
8. Maintain a peer analysis file per industry for key financial ratios and common credit findings.
