Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; finance/business studies are a plus.
• Experience in collections, credit management, or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for multi-account work.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers with overdue accounts to request payment via phone, email, or in-person visits.
• Review account histories and credit records to identify collection opportunities.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers facing obligations.
• Maintain detailed records of collection attempts, communications, and outcomes.
• Escalate difficult accounts to senior collectors or management as needed.
• Prepare collection reports and provide regular performance updates.
• Verify customer information and ensure compliance with collection policies.
• Follow up on promised payments and monitor account status for resolution.
• Collaborate with credit and finance teams to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
• Adhere to lending regulations and ethical collection practices.
