Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit & Collection Collector to join PTC Commercial Corporation in Tondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organisation by managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. As a Collector, you will be responsible for pursuing payment of overdue accounts whilst maintaining professional relationships with our clients, thereby contributing directly to the company's revenue recovery and operational success.

What you'll be doing

• Contacting customers with overdue accounts via telephone, email, and in-person visits to request payment
• Reviewing customer account histories and credit records to understand payment patterns and identify collection opportunities
• Negotiating payment arrangements and settlements with customers who have difficulty meeting payment obligations
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all collection attempts, communications, and outcomes in the company's systems
• Escalating difficult or long-standing accounts to senior collectors or management when appropriate
• Preparing collection reports and providing regular updates on collection performance and metrics
• Verifying customer information and ensuring compliance with company collection policies and procedures
• Following up on promised payments and monitoring account status to ensure resolution
• Collaborating with the credit and finance teams to resolve account disputes and discrepancies
• Adhering to all relevant lending regulations and ethical collection practices

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; tertiary education in finance, business administration, or related field is advantageous
• Proven experience in collections, credit management, or customer service, preferably within the banking and financial services sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate professionally and diplomatically
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, with capacity to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• Proficiency in using computer systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications
• Outstanding telephone and written communication skills with fluency in English and Filipino
• Resilience and persistence, with the ability to handle rejection and remain motivated in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of credit management principles and collection procedures is preferred
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field collections if requiredHonest, ethical approach to work with strong integrity and reliability
