Job summary

AsiaPeopleSearch Inc. seeks an experienced Credit and Collections Manager to lead the company’s credit and collections operations, manage accounts receivable, assess customer credit risk, set credit limits, and improve collection performance to ensure healthy cash flow.

The successful candidate will lead the Credit and Collections team and collaborate with Sales, Brand & Marketing, Warehouse, and other departments to manage credit risk while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Credit and Collections, Accounts Receivable, or a related function.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Experience in the Retail or Wholesale industry is an advantage.
• Strong background in credit assessment, financial analysis, accounts receivable, and collections management.
• Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Google Workspace/Google Suite.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations on invoices, receipts, taxes, credit, collections, and data privacy.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Ability to work effectively with different departments and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Credit and Collections team and ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts.
• Monitor the company’s accounts receivable portfolio, aging, collection performance, and customer credit exposure.
• Review aging reports and develop action plans to improve collection efficiency and receivable turnover.
• Evaluate customer credit applications, financial statements, payment history, and other relevant information.
• Assess creditworthiness and credit risk and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms.
• Develop and implement effective credit and collection policies, procedures, and controls.
• Identify high-risk and overdue accounts and recommend appropriate collection and credit actions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Brand & Marketing, Warehouse, and other departments regarding customer accounts, credit concerns, and collection matters.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members by setting targets, monitoring performance, conducting appraisals, and identifying training needs.
• Prepare regular reports and recommendations for management on accounts receivable, collections, credit exposure, and customer risk.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable laws and regulations, including credit, invoicing, taxation, and data privacy requirements.
