The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness and financial capacity of customers and business partners to minimize credit risk and support sound business decisions. The role involves reviewing financial information, assessing credit applications, monitoring accounts receivable, and providing recommendations on credit limits and payment terms.
Evaluate customer credit applications and assess creditworthiness based on financial and credit information.
Review financial statements, credit reports, payment history, and other relevant documents.
Conduct credit investigations and background checks on new and existing customers.
Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms, and credit conditions based on credit assessment.
Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, and payment behavior.
Identify accounts with potential credit risks and recommend appropriate actions.
Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and other departments regarding customer credit concerns.
Maintain accurate and updated credit files and records.
Prepare credit analysis reports and recommendations for management approval.
Monitor compliance with established credit policies and procedures.
Assist in the collection and resolution of overdue accounts when necessary.
Conduct periodic credit reviews of existing customers and recommend adjustments to credit limits or terms.
Perform other credit-related and administrative tasks as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Preferably with experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable, collections, or financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of financial statements and basic financial analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential financial information.
Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
