Insular Oil Corporation in Manila seeks a Credit Analyst to perform financial analysis, monitor credit risk, and oversee SBLCs to safeguard the company’s financial interests.
You will analyze statements, propose credit terms, present findings to CRECOM, track delinquent accounts, and coordinate with Billing, Credit Evaluation, and other teams. Ideal candidates have a 2–3 year track record in financial/credit analysis and a degree in a related field; petroleum/oil & gas experience is a plus.
About the role
Responsible for financial analysis, credit risk monitoring, delinquent account management, SBLC monitoring, and credit evaluation support to protect the company's financial interests.
Key responsibilities
Analyze financial statements and key financial ratios to assess account performance and credit risk
Recommend appropriate credit lines, payment terms, and collateral/SBLC requirements
Present financial analysis and recommendations during Credit Committee (CRECOM) meetings
Monitor delinquent/inactive accounts, collection efforts, and legal endorsements
Maintain and monitor Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), including expirations and renewals
Assist with new account enrollment, credit investigations, AR monitoring, Sales Orders, and Credit Evaluations
Coordinate with Industrial Specialists, Billing & Collection, Credit Evaluation, and other internal teams
Prepare daily/monthly financial analysis, SBLC, and delinquent account reports
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, Banking & Finance, Management, or related field
At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial/credit analysis, credit evaluation, AR, lending, banking, or related functions
Strong skills in financial statement analysis, ratio interpretation, credit risk assessment, Excel, reporting, and problem-solving
Strong attention to detail, communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Experience in petroleum/oil & gas, logistics, banking, or commercial industries is an advantage
