About the role
Manila North Harbour Port, Inc. is seeking a Crane Electrical Technician to join our operations team in Tondo, Manila City. This is a full-time position based on-site at our port facility. As a Crane Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical systems that power our cargo handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our cranes and related electrical infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support the smooth flow of port operations. This position is essential to maintaining our operational standards and safety protocols across the harbour.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical faults in crane systems and related port equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical components including motors, control systems, wiring, and distribution panels
- Repair and replace faulty electrical parts, wiring, switches, and circuit breakers on crane installations
- Install new electrical systems and upgrades to existing crane infrastructure in accordance with industry standards
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems and implement corrective solutions to minimise downtime
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and port authority guidelines
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation of all electrical work performed
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and operational teams to coordinate crane servicing and repairs
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues affecting crane operations
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards
What we're looking for
- Registered Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience working as an electrician, preferably in industrial, maritime, or port environments
- Fresh Graduate are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated experience with crane electrical systems, hoists, or similar heavy lifting equipment
- Proficient knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring systems, motors, and control panels
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of electrical safety protocols and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- Experience with preventive maintenance programmes is highly desirable
