Job summary

KMZD GROUP is seeking a Field Operations Engineer - Cranes & Industrial Systems to join our Intramuros, Manila team. This full-time role covers installation, commissioning, testing, and safe operation of cranes and industrial equipment across client sites.

You will supervise installation teams, perform safety audits, troubleshoot field issues, maintain documentation, and liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction while upholding our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE licensure or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years field operations experience with crane systems or industrial machinery.
• Proficient in electrical/control hydraulics and mechanical principles.
• Ability to interpret drawings and operate independently on site.

About the role

KMZD GROUP is seeking a Field Operations Engineer - Cranes & Industrial Systems to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Intramuros, Manila City, Metro Manila, offering an exciting opportunity to work on innovative crane and industrial systems projects. As Field Operations Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant deployment of our advanced lifting and industrial equipment across diverse project sites. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and safety in the electrical and mechanical engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of cranes and industrial systems at client sites, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and safety audits of all equipment before deployment to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Provide technical supervision and guidance to installation teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and within budget parameters
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions in the field, implementing corrective actions or coordinating with engineering teams for resolution
• Monitor crane and industrial systems performance during operation, collecting data and conducting performance analysis to optimise functionality
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including inspection reports, maintenance logs, commissioning certificates and operational records
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical updates and ensure satisfaction with our services
• Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, company policies and industry standards at all times
• Collaborate with design and project management teams to address field challenges and implement technical improvements
• Train client operators and maintenance personnel on proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent licensure is highly preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years' field operations experience in crane systems, lifting equipment or industrial machinery
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, hydraulics and mechanical principles as they apply to industrial equipment
• In-depth understanding of crane safety standards, including local Philippine regulations and international best practices (such as ISO standards)
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in dynamic field environments
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with teams, clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites as required
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in challenging site conditions
• Certification in crane operations, lifting safety or relevant field is advantageous
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies or IoT-enabled industrial systems is a plus
