You will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for crane equipment and related industrial machinery, ensuring safe and reliable operation on site. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, at least 5 years in crane or heavy industrial projects, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, PLCs, and VFDs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with crane/heavy equipment design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, PLCs, and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, control circuits, and power distribution networks for crane equipment.
• Conduct electrical calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimise crane system performance and safety.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
• Select and specify electrical components, including motors, controllers, sensors, and safety devices.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate electrical systems into crane designs.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site and in workshop.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations for crane systems.
• Provide technical support to installation and maintenance teams.

About the role

M and J Solutions Provider, Inc. is seeking an experienced Crane Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Intramuros, Manila City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for crane equipment and related industrial machinery. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our crane systems, contributing directly to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, control circuits, and power distribution networks for crane equipment

• Conduct electrical calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimise crane system performance and safety

• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using industry-standard CAD software

• Select and specify electrical components, including motors, controllers, sensors, and safety devices

• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate electrical systems into overall crane designs

• Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site and in the workshop

• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to crane systems

• Provide technical support and guidance to installation and maintenance teams

• Investigate electrical failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence

• Stay updated on technological advancements and recommend improvements to existing systems

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution

• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent professional certification in electrical engineering

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in crane systems or heavy industrial equipment design

• Strong proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent tools

• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations including those specific to crane and lifting equipment

• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems

• Solid understanding of power systems, motor control, and electrical safety principles

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and ability to meet deadlines

• Preferred: Experience with safety systems, redundancy design, or renewable energy integration in industrial applications
