Job summary

CKI BUILDERS & ENGINEERING SERVICES is seeking a cost estimator with a civil engineering or architecture background to lead bid estimating, cost breakdowns, and pre-bid activities. You will prepare project budgets, finalize estimates, and coordinate with the engineering team to ensure accurate scope and competitive pricing for scheduling bid submissions.

The role requires attention to detail and strong numerical skills to support successful project wins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience with cost estimation in construction projects.
• Familiarity with estimation software and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• In charge of estimating works and submission of bid proposals as per schedule.
• Attend pre-bid conference; record queries and fill the pre-bid checklist.
• Prepare a report and brief the engineering department on project overview.
• Prepares cost estimates by breaking down items of work using a standard format and determining the cost of each item from experience and a database of current construction cost information.
• Prepare the initial budget for the project, and evaluate the submitted operation’s budget.
• Define the scope of the cost estimate.
• Define assumptions and/or constraints.
• Finalize cost estimate.

Job description

• In charge of assigned estimating works & submission of bid proposals as per schedule

• Attend pre-bid conference; making sure that queries and other related concerns are adequately recorded and fill up the pre-bid checklist

• Prepare a report and brief the engineering department on the project overview

• Prepares cost estimates by breaking down the items of work using a standard format and determining the cost of each item from experience and a database of current construction cost information.

• Prepare the initial budget for the project, and evaluate the submitted operation’s budget

• Define the scope of the cost estimate

• Define assumptions and/or constraints

• Finalize cost estimate

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Civil Engineering or Architecture

• Familiar with Solidworks, Planswift, and other engineering tools

• Proficient in MS Excel
