Job summary

Bestpak Packaging Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to oversee the cost accounting function for our manufacturing operations in the Philippines. You will provide accurate forecasts, perform variance analyses, and guide budget alignment.

Responsibilities include executing standard cost policies, maintaining SAP costing data, managing intercompany data, and supporting month-end closes and cost-saving initiatives with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any business-related course.
• 1–2 years of experience in cost accounting or finance roles.
• Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry, audit, or product finance.
• Proficient in SAP or similar financial systems.

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to oversee the cost accounting function for our manufacturing operations, providing accurate forecasts, performing variance analyses, and guiding budget alignment.

Job Objectives & Responsibilities

• Execute the company's standard cost policies and processes, ensuring adherence to procedures and accuracy in all activities.
• Perform cost calculations for new product codes and update standard costs, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely maintenance of costing data in SAP.
• Manage intercompany data in SAP, including delivery costs, markup, and resolution of price discrepancies related to intercompany invoices.
• Maintain cost cards for third-party manufacturers, reconcile price variances, and process non-inventory purchase order settlements.
• Handle month-end closing tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and complete analysis of cost of goods sold (COGS) and other financial data.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly sales and operations planning (S&OP) forecasts for COGS, providing detailed breakdowns with 100% accuracy.
• Review and analyze monthly variances for actual costs of sales, budgets, and S&OP forecasts in collaboration with business partners such as the Finance Director and Business Liaison Director.
• Provide financial support for cost-saving projects, including validation and volume updates, and conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Define and document regional procedures for cost accounting activities while driving process excellence initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls through timely resolution of control gaps, perform SOAR controls, and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any business-related course.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar cost accounting or financial role.
• Experience in Manufacturing or consumer goods industry, Audit or accounting firms, or Product supply finance.
• Proficient in SAP or similar financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
