BPI MS Insurance Corporation in the Philippines seeks a Legal Officer to provide legal review, opinions, and risk guidance across departments. You will monitor pending cases, craft compliance strategies, and support governance and outsourcing processes while safeguarding the company's interests.

The role emphasizes data privacy, regulatory interpretation, and clear communication with senior management to minimize litigation exposure and ensure policy adherence across the organization.

Qualificações

• Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
• Graduate of a Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws program.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in law firm and/or in-house corporate counsel with focus on compliance, regulatory matters and corporate affairs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and statutory reporting obligations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; GRC/eGRC experience is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal review, documentation and opinions and monitor litigation risk.
• Advise departments on legal risk and manage the legal check framework.
• Develop controls and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Prepare regulatory reports for senior management and various units.
• Disseminate laws, regulations and jurisprudence to employees and partners.
• Oversee data privacy compliance and privacy impact assessments.
• Ensure outsourcing contracts comply with policy and archiving standards.
• Update policies, regulations and training materials annually.
