EastWest Banking Corporation seeks an experienced Corporate Communications and PR Lead to join our Marketing team in Taguig. As AVP, you will shape external storytelling and manage media relations to strengthen brand credibility through press, social content, speeches, and multi-channel communications.

You will ensure brand-consistent messaging while coordinating with Legal, Risk, and Compliance on reputational considerations and regulatory requirements. onsite with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven writing and editing experience for press releases, speeches, and social content.
• Understanding of banking/financial services and regulatory environment.
• Experience in planning media engagements, PR campaigns, and events.
• Ability to manage high-stakes communications with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Proficient with MS Office, Meltwater, and design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator.

In this role you will lead EastWest's public relations and media strategy, shaping the Bank's external reputation through compelling storytelling, executive visibility, media engagement, thought leadership, and multi-channel communications that strengthen brand awareness, credibility, and relevance. You will develop and deliver brand-consistent messaging across press releases, social media, award submissions, executive speeches, media briefings, and high-profile stakeholder communications while effectively managing regulatory, reputational, and strategic considerations.

What the role will entail

• Develop and execute EastWest's media relations and publicity strategy by building strong partnerships with journalists, editors, influencers, and key media stakeholders, while managing press releases, feature stories, media advisories, and PR events.
• Craft and oversee executive speeches, statements, interviews, and institutional communications, ensuring consistent, brand-aligned messaging across all public-facing content and campaigns.
• Drive executive visibility and thought leadership initiatives by identifying speaking engagements, media features, industry recognition opportunities, and award submissions that strengthen the Bank's market presence and credibility.
• Lead post-event communications, campaign coverage, and editorial content development to showcase key business milestones, institutional initiatives, and corporate achievements.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Customer Service, and business units to manage reputational issues, crisis communications, public advisories, and stakeholder messaging while ensuring adherence to regulatory and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver award submissions, investor and corporate materials, institutional campaigns, press kits, and other strategic communications assets that support the Bank's objectives.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or any related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills with experience developing press releases, speeches, social media content, executive communications, award submissions, and other corporate communication materials.
• Solid understanding of banking, financial services, and the regulatory environment, with the ability to manage media relations, corporate messaging, and reputational risk considerations.
• Proven experience in planning and executing media engagements, PR campaigns, milestone events, and executive visibility initiatives, from concept development through on-site implementation.
• Ability to craft and manage high-impact communications for issues management, crisis response, public advisories, and sensitive stakeholder engagements in coordination with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, media monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater), and design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with the ability to analyze communications performance and generate actionable insights.
