About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join the culinary team at Kon-Tiki Hospitality Corp. in Angeles City, Pampanga. This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals and maintaining the standards of excellence that our guests expect. As a Cook, you will be responsible for executing recipes, managing kitchen operations, and contributing to the overall dining experience that defines our hospitality offering. This role is essential to our mission of delivering exceptional food and service to our valued guests.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and plating standards
• Managing mise en place and ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared and organised before service
• Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitoring food quality and consistency across all dishes prepared
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order completion
• Responding to feedback from supervisors and adjusting cooking techniques as needed
• Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation
• Maintaining a clean and organized work station throughout service
• Supporting the head chef and kitchen management team with special projects and menu development

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent food quality
• Understanding of food hygiene and sanitation requirements
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately whilst taking initiative to improve processes
• Good physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
• Culinary qualification or professional cook certification is preferred
