Job summary

Insight is seeking a Contract Specialist to support Services contracts, including statements of work (SOWs) and vendor agreements. You will manage the internal process for document creation to meet required deadlines, proofread content, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely finalization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• 2-3 years of contract management/technical marketing/writing experience.
• Prior SOW development, contract administration and/or technical writing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Document Workflow Management systems (e.g. DocuSign).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Apply critical thinking to problem solve and interpret processes to specific projects.

Responsibilities

• Function as internal project manager, tracking contract projects through creation, approvals, and finalization to ensure deadlines are met.
• Use email, phone, instant messaging and other forums to move contract projects forward to completion.
• Assist internal project team with system work and uploading proofs of approvals when access is limited.
• Assist with information gathering and escalations to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Proofread and edit content to be clear, concise and aligned with Insight requirements.

As a Contract Specialist, you will provide support for Services contracts, including statements of work (SOWs), vendor SOWs, change requests, etc. Manage the overall internal process for document creation in order to meet required deadlines. Proofing and editing document content and drafting custom language, as needed. Collaborating with inter-department teams. Finalizing executable contract documents. Along the way you'll get to:

• Function as internal project manager, tracking contract project through internal process of creation, approvals, and finalization to ensure document deadline is met.
• Using various communication forums (email, phone, instant messaging, team chatting) to accomplish objectives and keep contract projects moving forward to completion.
• Assist internal project team with any system work as needed to move project forward, performing project team steps in the system, editing documents, uploading proof of approvals obtained on their behalf when they are unable to access due to travel, network issues, etc.
• Assist internal project team with information gathering and escalations in order to meet deadline requirements.
• Ensuring compliance requirements.
• Proofread and edit all content, ensuring language is clear and concise, and meets Insight requirements.

What you'll need to join Insight

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in contract management and/or technical marketing/writing, and/or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Prior SOW development, contract administration and/or technical writing experience.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Document Workflow Management systems, e.g. DocuSign).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Apply critical thinking to problem solve and flexibility to interpret processes to specific project.
