Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers, ensuring schedules and deliveries align with demand.

You will monitor materials, track WIP and inventory, and collaborate with procurement to optimize supplier capacity. The role emphasizes data accuracy in ERP/MRP systems and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years planning experience.
• Experience in demand forecasting and production scheduling to align with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for contract manufacturers.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Monitor material availability to support production plans.
• Track inventory levels (FG, WIP, raw materials) to prevent shortages or excess.
• Generate planning reports and KPIs; present performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with contract manufacturers.
