Job summary

TechFactors Inc. is seeking an Arts Editor to oversee quality and instructional editing for SHS Arts & Design and tertiary courseware. You will audit, refine, and ensure alignment across student texts, teachers' manuals, slides, and LMS content.

The role focuses on accurate content, cohesive design prompts, rubrics, and exercise sets, supporting the R&D team in delivering high-quality materials on site in Quezon City.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience editing educational content.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience with SHS Arts & Design or curriculum alignment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-generated QA audit logs, correct textbook manuscripts, edit synthetic text, and verify DepEd SHS Arts and TESDA NC II alignment.
• Edit creative passages, art history analysis, design prompts, rubric criteria, and exercise sets.
• Execute QA validation checks and apply QA decision locks to establish the textbook as the SSOT.
• Derive and update scripts for Teacher's Manuals, Presentation Slides, LMS HTML content, and Interactive Media Briefs from locked baselines.
• Issue structured Layout Briefs to Artists and Interactive Specifications to Shared Developers.
• Audit page layouts, graphics, and interactive widget logic against locked specs for quality and accuracy.
• Merge cleaned LMS HTML code, updated slide decks, PDFs, and assets into the LMS staging environment.
• Review automated staging test logs and perform final quality handovers before manager spot-audits.
• Monitor work hour allocations, track throughput, and flag operational risks to R&D Management.
• Other tasks as assigned by the R&D Manager

Job Description

The Arts Editor serves as the primary subject matter quality controller and instructional editor for Senior High School (Arts & Design Strand) and Tertiary creative courseware. The Arts Editor is responsible for auditing, refining, content across all 5 core deliverables-Student Textbooks, Teacher's Manuals, Presentation Slides, Interactive Assets, and LMS Package Uploads.

1. 1. Review pre-generated QA audit logs, directly correct textbook manuscripts, edit synthetic text, and verify DepEd SHS Arts and TESDA NC II competency alignment.
2. 2. Edit creative passages, art history analysis, design prompts, rubric criteria, and exercise sets.
3. 3. Execute QA validation checks and apply QA decision locks establishing the textbook as the Single Source of Truth (SSOT).
4. 4. Derive and update matching scripts for Teacher's Manuals (TM), Presentation Slides, LMS HTML content, and Interactive Media Briefs directly from locked textbook baselines.
5. 5. Issue structured Layout Briefs to Artists and Interactive Specifications to Shared Developers.
6. 6. Audit completed page layouts, static graphics, and interactive widget logic against locked specifications for aesthetic quality and content accuracy.
7. 7. Merge cleaned LMS HTML code, updated slide decks, layout PDFs, and interactive assets into the LMS staging environment.
8. 8. Review automated staging test logs and perform final quality handovers prior to Manager spot-audits.
9. 9. Monitor personal and vertical work hour allocations (WHA), track throughput velocity, and flag operational risks to R&D Management.
